The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised a Conference on Infrastructure Contracts Management in New Delhi on February 23, 2018 to highlight the importance and objective of contract management. With the above aim in mind, it bought together industry stalwarts for valuable insight on the various facets involved in contract management.
Mr. Atul Sharma, our Managing Partner, gave his experienced perspective on “Contract Management – Key to Efficient Project Implementation” in the opening session of the Conference.
The conference brought together members of industry, policy makers, tendering, bidding, procurement, legal, contracts management, consultants, project management professionals and related stakeholders from the infrastructure sector to deliberate upon key challenges, best practices and way forward in creating robust contract management system.
Various industry leaders opined and discussed on some of the most integral aspects of contract management in infrastructure, including the latest trends in strategizing infrastructure contracts, best international practice on dispute resolution mechanism, dealing with multi-party contract and multi-party arbitration, and pre-award and post-award contract management. Case studies on construction risk management and mitigation were also presented. The Indian Institute of Quantity Surveyors also released their Annual Insight Magazine at the Conference.
